Warranty Assistant will assist the Warranty Administrator with all aspects of the company’s warranty departmental procedures by ensuring that all warranty paperwork is properly documented and that all verifying criteria needed by the manufacturer are processed correctly. This position requires you to work with all Fairchild branches on a day-to-day basis to achieve profitability and growth within our warranties department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Review work orders received from Service Administrator’s.
Process and file warranty claims.
Determined hours required for warranty jobs; flat rate time.
Verify certification of Technicians and warranties on equipment units.
Communicate with Technicians of equipment units under work and with manufacturers.
Enter all warranties into manufacturer’s websites and provide detail stories of warranty work.
Apply credits to appropriate work orders.
Review all warranty paperwork to ensure proper documentation and verifying criteria required by factory.
Review all claims on a weekly basis and follow-up on unpaid claims.
Clear all pending claims daily by responding to the need for parts, additional paperwork and explanation of the claim to release it form a pending status.
Implement new/updated warranty regulations, compliances, and procedures; with management approval.
Maximize warranty sales and profits.
Produce reports as required by management.
Accept new duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
Demonstrate aptitude and knowledge of used equipment.
Ability to organize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
Qualifications / Required Skills
High School Education or GED is required.
2+ years of experience working in material handling/ industrial environment or warranty.
Ability to communicate effectively with management, employees, vendors, and customers.
Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities in a changing environment, and self-direct with good business judgments.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Ability to manage multiple tasks.
